October Book of the Month

Catching Fire
by Suzanne Collins
Sequel to The Hunger Games
Synopsis:
Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

Bookclub:
We read The Hunger Games for our book in July so for those of you that still haven't read #1 First- don't read the synopsis above and Second-my copy will be returning to me this weekend for loaning. I know Hollie Thompson has her copy of Catching Fire available now if you are in need of it. You still have time to read both as our meeting will not be till about second week in November. More details about that later.
If you are on the fence about this I cannot say enough...READ IT! You won't be sad you did. (JOY I'm talking to you!)
